Lymphatic drainage is a therapeutic massage treatment. The massage uses very light pressure and long, gentle, rhythmic strokes to increase the flow of lymph and reduce toxins in your body.

The lymph system is part of your body's immune system and helps fight infection. This network of tissues and organs assists in removing toxins, waste and other unwanted materials from the body as well as transporting nutrients and oxygen to the cells.

You have around twice as many lymph vessels as blood vessels in your body. The pressure from your blood vessels and movement from your muscles push the lymphatic fluid, containing the white blood cells that are essential for fighting infections, around the body.

Lymphatic drainage massage can have a beneficial effect on your general health. Lymph is key to keeping your immune system working properly, improving the flow and drainage of lymph around the body is good for you in lots of ways

Massage has been noted for its ability to stimulate the body’s natural cleansing processes, which can slow down due to such factors as poor diet or insufficient exercise. It also helps to stimulate the body’s circulation, ensuring that blood pumps around the body with greater vigour. The better your circulation, the more energy you can expect to have and the more effectively your organs will function, particularly regarding the elimination of toxins.

I base my treatment on the Vodder technique which is the one that many practitioners learn globally but through clinical experience I have created my own techniques mixing acupress with the Vodder technique to get the best result. In additional optional acupuncture treatment also works really well to balance the homeostatic self-healing of the body.

Treatments will be tailored according to the needs of the client.
